Oils to help the Symptoms of Autism

As a special education teacher, I've often wondered how our essential oils might benefit my students.  Of course, I don't ever use them on students but it does make me wonder how their learning might be improved with the use. If you've wondered that as well, and would like to try our Young Living oils,  contact me!  Remember, NO ONE should be paying more for YL oils than I do!!  Contact me for more info

Information about oils for AutismCEDARWOOD (Cedrus atlantica)
Inhaling the oils of Cedarwood increases the ability to think clearly and enhances the awareness needed for effective prayer and meditation. This is because of all the essential oils of the world, Cedarwood contains the highest concentration of sesquiterpenes, which have the ability to pass through the blood-brain barrier and oxygenate the braindirectly upon inhalation by way of the nasal passages and the olfactory nerves. It has been suggested that Cedarwood oil might prevent senility and Alzheimer’s disease.
Key Chemistry: Cedarwood contains 98% sesquiterpenes which deprogram misinformation written in the DNA due to trauma, abuse, loss and ancestral and limiting beliefs. Sesquiterpenes are considered the antidepressant in this valuable aspect.
Cedarwood may also be useful as a general cerebral stimulant. It may be diffused or applied topically as desired.
Fragrant Influence: Stimulates the limbic region of the brain (the center of emotions) and the pineal gland, which releases melatonin. Terry Friedmann, MD found in clinical tests that this oil was able to successfully treat ADD and ADHD (attention deficit disorders) in children. It is recognized for its calming, purifying properties.Application: (1) Apply on location, (2) chakras/vitaflex points, (3) directly inhale, (4) diffuse, or (5) take as dietary supplement (see Appendices E and T).

Palo Santo(Rachel Note-I have heard that Palo Santo is a kind of “Super Frankincense”.)In spiritual aromatherapy it can be beneficial for meditation, concentration, and for enhancing creativity and learning. (AUTISM)Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens), also known as “Holy Wood,” is an essential oil high in limonene (60-65%), about the same amount found in Young Living’s lemon essential oil. Palo Santo has been used for years in folk medicines and in liniments and has properties similar to frankincense. Palo Santo can also be worn as a perfume to release negative energy. How to use: For topical use, apply 1-2 drops on affected area. For aromatic use, inhale directly as needed or diffuse/humidify for 10-15 minutes daily. Keep in a cool, dark place. ——————–
Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) has a sweet, warm, balsamic aroma that is stimulating and elevating to the mind. Useful for visualizing, improving one’s spiritual connection, and centering, it has comforting properties that help with focusing the mind and overcoming stress and despair.* Frankincense is considered a holy anointing oil in the Middle East, where it has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. More recently, it has been used therapeutically in European and American hospitals and is the subject of substantial research. Frankincense is also a valuable ingredient in skin care products for aging and dry skin. The ancient Egyptians used it in rejuvenation face masks. Frankincense has an approximate ORAC of 6,125 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter. How to use: For dietary or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as soy or rice milk. ———————Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides) has a heavy, earthy fragrance similar to Patchouli with a touch of lemon. Vetiver may help us cope with stress and recover from emotional trauma and shock.* Vetiver has an approximate ORAC of 742,792 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter. How to use: For dietary, aromatic, or topical use. Researchers have pinpointed the sesquiterpenes, valerenic acid, and valerone as the active constituents that exert a calming effect on the central nervous system. German health authorities have pronounced valerian to be an effective aid for occasional restlessness and sleep disturbances.* Valerian has an approximate ORAC of 61,935 (TE/L). West Nile Virus and Young Living Essential Oils

“Thus far in 2012, 47 states have reported West Nile virus infections. A total of 1118 cases of West Nile virus disease in people, including 41 deaths, have been reported to CDC.” That’s according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Of these 1118 cases, 537, or 48%, have been in Texas. And the percentage of deaths in Texas is almost the same at 46%.
That said, West Nile remains a relatively small threat. Most people bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus do not even know they’ve been exposed. In fact, few people develop severe disease or even notice any symptoms at all. However, people with depressed immune systems and older people and young children may be at higher risk.
In the case of West Nile Virus and most other health concerns, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. So protect yourself from mosquitos, especially in the early fall (August and September) and maintain a healthy body and immune system with Young Living.
To protect yourself from mosquitos, eliminate their breeding grounds (or waters) around your house. Dump or regularly recycle all standing water. Check your outside flowerpots, birdbaths, pet bowls and the like. Eliminate the source and eliminate the problem.
Then protect yourself and your children with Young Living’s Purification blend. Apply Purification like you would any bug repellent. It works better than most and it doesn’t have any harmful chemicals.  And if you or your child does get bitten, apply Purification directly on the bite for relief.
There are some other all-natural insect repellents blends that we also use in addition to straightPurification. Here are two.
  1. Combine equal parts R.C., Purification, Geranium, and Rosemary. Add twice the amount of V6 (or your favorite massage oil). It works and smells great!
  2. Combine 10 drops Peppermint, 10 drops Purification, 10 drops Lemongrass, 10 drops Thieves. Add almond oil as a base.
But the best defense is still a good offense. And your best offense is your health. Even if you are exposed to West Nile Virus, if you have a healthy immune system you may not suffer any ill effects. To maintain good health, we recommend three steps.
  1. Eat a healthy, well balance diet.
  2. Drink 2 to 4 ounces of Young Living’s NingXia Red every day.
  3. Supplement your nutrition with Young Living’s True Source Whole Food Multi-nutrients, Young Living’s Super C, and Young Living’s Super B.
Maintaining your health will benefit you in many more ways besides just protection against severe West Nile. It will provide you years of wellness.
What could be better than that?
